BadaBing Kennel's Policy

Health: We deworm puppies at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks of age. Puppies are treated with Pyrantel, Toltrazuril, and Fenbendazole prior to the arrival to your new home. With all efforts made to deworm puppies its common for puppies to require a routine deworming schedule after his/her arrival to your environment.Parasites are common in puppies and we recommend using a product called Safeguard (Fenbendazole) which will prevent/treat common parasites like pinworms, roundworms, tapeworms, etc. Please also administer the D.E.S. Health-Gard Fast acting Liquid Probiotic when deworming. This will help settle their gastrointestinal system during wormings. We do not guarantee any sort of parasite diagnosis.

By 8 weeks of age, our puppies receive a vaccination for parvovirus. We will administer Neopar or a 5-way (DHPP) vaccine. The size and sensitivity of the puppy will determine which vaccine he/she will get. Veterinarians recommend administering vaccines at 2 week intervals starting at 6-8 weeks of age. We do not recommend Leptospirosis for our dogs due to the high chances of a reaction. This vaccine done at the buyers expense. All puppies will come with age-appropriate vaccinations. The Seller does not guarantee the effectiveness of the vaccines.

We also recommend discussing with a veterinarian for the use of Nexgard. This is an oral chew that is given to puppies 8 weeks and up and weighing at least 4lbs. This will help prevent/treat fleas, ticks, mites and parasites. All our adult dogs are on this treatment.

Potty Training: Our puppies follow a training method that we have perfected over the years. The puppies will be exposed to and familiar with the pee-pad training method. For this method to be successful it requires new homes to only allow a small area which will have a pee pad and a bed. As the puppy grows and proves that he/she is capable of going a further distance to “run” to the pee pad, you are allowed to make the space bigger. Please keep in mind that allowing the puppy to have free-run of your home while potty training will only make the training process harder. Every time the puppy soils an area outside of the pee pad it is subliminally training him/her to create a bad habit. Don’t allow those habits to form. We do not guarantee your puppy to be fully house trained/potty trained.

Stress: Hypoglycemia (Hepatic Lipidosis) in small breed puppies is common and can be brought on by stress. Transfer of ownership, travel, vaccinations, and switching foods can cause a hypoglycemic episode. As a new puppy owner, it is imperative that you know the early signs of hypoglycemia. Episodes of refusal to eat, shaking, swaying, glazed eyes, imbalance, refusal to walk or stand or seizures are all signs of the puppy rapidly declining. Consider these symptoms an emergency. Administer Karo Syrup (Gold Cap) or Hummingbird nectar (Clear) to the puppy’s upper gums as soon as possible. This will quickly dissolve into his/her bloodstream and stabilize the puppy. If caught quickly enough, this will prevent the puppy from experiencing a full hypoglycemic episode. Please consider consulting your veterinarian or call me for assistance. I will do my best to walk you through the steps to take. We will not replace or refund your puppy if he/she passed away from Hepatic Lipidosis.

Dental: Pomeranians and Toy/Mini Poodles (and most small breeds) require regular dental cleanings. Dental cleanings are recommended to be discussed with your vet once your puppy is about 8 months-1 year old. Brushing your puppy’s teeth can prevent dental issues but oftentimes its not enough to avoid dental cleanings. Feeding kibble only (to puppies that are 6 months+) will lessen the damage to oral health. Puppy teeth begin loosening at 6 months old. If you notice a persistent deciduous tooth(s) in your puppy’s mouth that has not fallen out on its own it would be wise to have them extracted to avoid secondary problems like tarter buildup and bite issues.

Per AKC (show) standards the bite of the breed goes as follows. Pomeranians require a scissor bite and one tooth out of alignment is acceptable. Poodles require scissor bites. These rules apply for dogs that are competing in shows. At BBK we actively work towards the scissor bite but sometimes that is not achieved. It is common for the puppy’s bite to change with his/her growth. Bites can be affected by not removing puppy teeth. Damage to teeth can be done if the puppy breaks a tooth while eating or during exercise. Seller is not responsible for bite issues on puppies. All dental procedures are at the buyers expense. Seller will not be responsible for any cost incurred.

Genetic Testing: Here at BBK we use certain tools to give us a better look at our dog’s health. Sometimes these tools help us look into what is naked to the human eye. Genetic testing is done by sending the puppy/dog’s DNA to a laboratory to access possible health variants that the puppy/dog may carry or pass on to offspring. We will use Embark, Animal Genetics, or Paw Print Genetics to determine the genetic results of each litter. Please request a copy or transfer of ownership. We will also be happy to help you better understand the results. Please keep in mind that genetic testing results is not a diagnosis. BBK tests for breed specific traits/variants that apply to Pomeranians and Poodles. Some companies will include tests that do not affect the specific breed. BBK will not guarantee against non-breed specific tests/varaints or new testing for breed specific traits/variants. If there is a test that was not available during the sale of the puppy we will not be able to provide refunds or guarantees. If you have concerns about a result please consult your veterinarian for further testing. The Seller does not guarantee genetic testing results.

Size: When a puppy is born we are able to chart the size of the puppy through periodically weighing the puppy to determine its size. Another way to estimate size is through the parents. We will take the two sizes from Mother and Father to give an estimated weight and height (poodles). Sometimes there are “throwbacks” which means genetically a puppy is smaller or bigger than his/her parents size. The seller will not guarantee the puppy’s size.

Shipping with Nanny: When purchasing a puppy through BBK, you will be given the option to purchase a flight and physically pick up the puppy at the ACV/SFO airport or place a deposit with a flight nanny that will assist delivering your puppy to the closest major airport. Once the puppy leaves BBK, it is assumed that the puppy is now in your care. Any accidents or exposure to environmental irritants or viruses will be out of our control. Please do not place your puppy on the ground until he/she has finalized all required puppy vaccinations. The seller does not guarantee against any accidents during travel.

Legal: We appreciate you trusting us and choosing our program to purchase your next puppy/dog. In circumstances which you have felt that you have been misguided or have questions about your experience at BBK, please do not hesitate to email us at badabingkennels@gmail.com We are here to help and answer any questions or concerns you may have. Any civil lawsuit will be processed and served in the current county that the Seller resides in, within the state of California. BadaBingKennels may order the losing party to pay the attoneys’ fees of the prevailing party.

Other: As we venture into providing assistance post purchase of the puppy, we want to remind our customers that your puppy is a living and breathing animal. There are things that can happen that is completely out of the seller/breeder’s control. At BBK we do our best to avoid future health issues by genetically testing our dogs and puppies. We also pair dogs that are visually, physically, and genetically healthy. Environmental risks are commonly associated with issues that pet owners find upsetting. The Seller does not guarantee against the following - Open Fontanels, results from genetic testing companies, breed percentage from genetic companies, OFA testing results, coat issues (i.e. alopecia, BSD, CDA, etc), Kennel Cough, Allergies, Vaccine reactions, temperament or behavioral issues, Cryptorchidism, Pyometra, etc. There are too many outside contributors that can affect the puppy/dog that is outside of the breeders control.

At BBK we stand by our dogs and our lines. We take pride in the puppies we produce and see our customers as a unique group of family members. We create a bond through the love and care for our puppies even after they go to their new homes. If a puppy is diagnosed with an issue that is proven to be genetic and not caused by its environment, we will replace said puppy; at the seller’s discretion. The puppy will need to be accessed by a board-certified veterinarian of the seller’s choosing to diagnose any genetic imperfections. If the Veterinarian concludes that the diagnosis is a genetic issue we will require you to spay/neuter your puppy. A proof of spay/neuter is required to start the replacement process. We will not offer a refund for your puppy. We will offer a replacement of equal value. Please keep in mind that replacement of equal value can take some time and we appreciate your patience as we navigate through an unfortunate time.
